The One World Project
The Maori who arrived in New Zealand came by canoe. The Maori word for canoe is waka.

They sailed their waka over thousands of miles with only the sun and stars to steer by. They were so clever. But it took them a long time to find New Zealand.

The waka would not only carry the people but animals and food too. They lived on them for weeks. I have some photos of wakas on my video.
