This is the main street in Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga. There used to be buildings everywhere but in 2006 they had some riots and lots of buildings were burned down. A riot is when people who are protesting get out of control and cause damage.
Protests are good but they should be peaceful. Some Tongans feel ashamed of what happened. I think that in future if they protest, they will try and do it peacefully and even talk about things that they don't like. That is sensible don't you think? Fighting and hurting other people is wrong. I want people to be nice and try and understand each other. Can you help me achieve this?
